Fatwa Alkohol Dalam Pemakanan Di Malaysia: Suatu Sorotan
(The Fatwa Of Alcohol In Malaysia Dietary: A Research Highlight)
Keywords:
Fatwa; Alcohol; Food and Beverage; Highlight; MalaysiaAbstract
Alcohol (ethanol) is a unique organic chemical compound used extensively in various industries such as perfumery, cosmetics, medical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and the chemical industry. In terms of the percentage of the use of alcohol, especially in food and beverages, there is a difference of opinion on the status of alcohol among the Islamic scholars. It also caused a change in the fatwa regarding the alcohol content in the Malaysian diet. However, it is alleged that determining the fatwa on the alcohol content is impractical and less suitable for practice. Therefore, this writing aims to identify past studies in regards to alcohol-related fatwa in nutrition that past researchers have done. The report of this article uses a qualitative method through a literature review of previous studies. The findings show that studies related to the fatwa regarding alcohol only involve the analysis of alcohol-related fatwa in Southeast Asian countries and not a comprehensive study of fatwa specifically related to alcohol in Malaysia. In conclusion, through a survey conducted by the researcher, there is still a lack of studies related to fatwa of the usage of alcohol in Malaysia that focus on the Maqasid Sharia perspective. This allows the researcher to conduct further research to analyse the fatwa of alcohol in food and drinks in Malaysia according to the perspective of Maqasid Sharia.
