The Effect of the Quranic Text in the Political Poetry of Sheikh Abi Bakr Agbarigidoma of Nigeria

This paper explores the period of the (Biafran) Civil War, which ravaged Nigeria between 1967 and 1970, through the verses of the studied poetic composition. It is no secret that Arabic poetry is one of the oldest sciences that have captivated humanity in shaping their emotional sentiments and advancing human society by presenting issues that touch upon emotions, society, and politics. They have long proclaimed that 'poetry is the diwan (collection) of the Arabs, carrying the concerns of the nation and its issues.' This paper covers the translation of our poet, the presentation of the poem, a summary of its content, artistic values, and the human aspect, an analytical study of the poem, results, word meanings, recommendations, suggestions, sources and references.
